Profile: Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, Israel around 4BC. He grew up in Nazareth, not much is known of his early life except for a visit to Jerusalem at the age of 12 where he amazed the teachers in the Temple with his knowledge.

Around the age of 30 Jesus began his ministry, teaching, preaching and healing the sick with the 12 Jewish men he selected to be his disciples.

Fundamental to the Christian faith is the virgin birth, Jesus Christ's sinless life as the Son of God, his sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection. Most Christians believe that even though he done no wrong Jesus gave his life that we might be free from the judgement of our sin.

Jesus was betrayed, and condemn to death as a political criminal for claiming to be the King of the Jews. He was beaten, tortured and a crown of thorns placed on his head, then made to walk with his cross to Calvary where he was crucified around 30AD. Three days later he resurrected from the dead and appeared to his disciples, then ascended into heaven.

Jesus Christ done things differently, he ate with, and showed compassion and forgiveness, to social outcasts. He healed the lepers. He told the first that actually, you're really the last. He overturned the business tables of those working in the temple and broke Jewish laws. And of course on top of all that he said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." John 14:6 (KJV).
